In honor of Computer Science Education Week, we're hosting our third annual Hackathon with the Warren County Library Makerspace. Of course, this year is a bit different. We're going all virtual!
Join us for our Education Panel where we'll learn from three fantastic local educators who are introducing a new generation to computer science and robotics. Daryl Detrick is the Computer Science teacher at Warren Hills Regional High School and a member of the Governors Computer Science (CS) Advisory Board which recently released NJ CS Action Plan to update computer science education across the state. Don Biery is the Physics and Engineering teacher at North Warren Regional High School, where he is also the FRC Robotics Team Coach for "Children of the Corn." Michele Vulcano is the Computer Programming teacher at Warren County Technical School, where she has just created a 15 credit sequence with Warren County Community College for CS students. Each panelist will share a short presentation about their work and then we'll open the floor to questions.
This talk will take place over Zoom and will be shared on YouTube afterward. You must provide a valid email address to participate.
